I was always very interested in arts (drawing and painting in particular) ever since childhood, but never got a chance to explore the area fully until recently.
Interests apart, I was into the traditional schooling and was always topping the academic score boards – and so I did my engineering and got placed into an IT company and with emotional and physical ups & downs successfully completed 4.5 yrs of career there when I finally decided it was enough.
I started to seek how I can nurture my inner ambition of pursuing art and ended up doing a 3 year Visual Arts programme at College Of Fine Arts, Kalakshetra Foundation, Thiruvanmiyur. And am currently an art student/teacher and a visual artist!
But when I think back now to analyse my academic life, I don’t seem to have taken back anything from the traditional schooling except the very basics of every subject like language, maths and science – whereas I learned much more about art in particular and life in general when I started pursuing arts. This got me interested in the superb concept of Natural Learning.
